Cosy and friendly place, it was the first time that I’ve been there but it felt like I was there before that’s how friendly it is! Good food, good drinks, plenty of parking space and they have some games inside. Try it, probably you will like it 😉
I come twice a week to PH and Tuesday night is one of them. I am sorry someone had a bad Tuesday-- bc I only come to Tuesday bc of the bartender there, Lauren. I feel bad that someone had a negative experience with that person. Lauren is great and some of us are regular customers bc of her.
We absolutely loved this tavern!! The atmosphere was great, service was amazing and the food was wonderful!
Excellent location across from the train station. We sat on the deck off the bar. There is also a patio on the ground. Huge fans provided a breeze. The drinks were well mixed. Fresh cut fries, Excellent bbq and a great sliced beef sandwich. Price is reasonable and quantity is filling.
PHT is a fun casual place serving delicious food at a reasonable price. The outdoor seating is a nice touch.
Visited the place 2 weeks ago. Place is SUPER clean and SUPER cozy. Basically it feels less like a restaurant and more like a laid back hangout place. Food is SUPER DELICIOUS, portions are acceptable. The prices however, are a bit higher than I was hoping for. For example I had to order a coleslaw separately (for extra money) from my burger. But the QUALITY of food is SUPERB. And you can hang out there as much as you want AFTER you eat. Nobody will kick you out. Great place, great food, great atmosphere. If their prices would be 10% less I would call that place a PERFECTION. WILL go there again. Go dine there with full confidence. Oh yeah, staff is VERY VERY friendly and helpful.
Wonderful atmosphere! Everyone was so welcoming and the bar tender’s service was great. I am excited to bring my dog as they have multiple seating options available. Highly recommend!
Just remember—it’s a tavern, not a Michelin-star restaurant. Set the bar accordingly, and you’ll probably leave wondering why you don't come here more often. Jamie is fantastic, Spiro knows how to get it done, and they've got the full tavern trifecta: TouchTunes, cold drafts, and food that's better than it has any right to be. It's everything a proper North Shore neighborhood tavern should be. Come at me, tavern snobs.
Amazing food paired with a warm, welcoming atmosphere made for a great experience. The service was attentive and friendly, which really stood out. The Reuben egg rolls are a must-try—they were absolutely delicious. Thank you to Lily and the team at Prairie House for such a memorable visit!
What a hidden gem! I love the different seating options - cozy in the bar, bright and open in the four seasons room, and also a beautiful beer garden with couches and a fire pit. Lovely and clean atmosphere. Great for families or date night. The new owner has cleaned up the place and added a bunch of really nice landscaping. Love it! Food is impressive and fresh. Will be coming back very soon!
